24 days

24 days until all 19 of us will meet for a time of spiritual preparation, 26 days until we board the plane to fly across the world and start on our new adventure, 29 days until we split up into our teams and begin the work we are called to do.

As I talk to my friends that are embarking on this journey with me i get mixed emotions from everyone, nervousness, excitement, anxiety, stress (mostly about how we are all going to get our school work done), wonder, you name it and we are feeling it.

Over the next several weeks we will be praying and meeting together to continue to prepare our hearts for the work we are going be doing this summer. This will be a new experience for most of us and being pushed outside of our comfort zones is something we are all looking forward to.

The name of our blog is Blagodaria, which is Bulgarian for thank you. Obviously this is a cute pun, but also it is to say thank you to all who have supported us on this journey through friendship, love, finances and prayer. One small way that we can say thank you is by keeping you up to date on our lives over the next several months.

Consider this your invitation, please join myself, Kathleen, Lauren and Todd on this journey of growth where we expect God to do amazing things. We will update this blog at least weekly so that we can share the story of God in Sofia Bulgaria. As you join us on this journey please continue to pray for us over the course of the next several months, that we may raise the rest of our funds, that we may remain faithful and constantly be learning and growing.
